It can be thought provoking to challenge our thinking! We can easily think to ourselves and believe others in the concept that we can strengthen our arms or legs but it seems to dissapear when we think about its carryover to our feet. We have a moderate number of muscles and joints in our feet. Why would we want our feet muscles to atrophy and our joints in our feet to not be used? Aren’t we doing that when we put shoes on our feet that do not allow the available mobility as well as available strength potential? When we look at other cultures, they seem to have commonsense that they would use the feet they were born with in regards to the muscles and joints. Why would we essentially put a cast on our feet if we had a choice. We rationalize it with that we have concrete and we may step on something. How about rationalizing that if you don’t use your foot muscles and joints that you could be at a increased risk to fall or not feel the ground?
